1. Membership:
Q. What must I have to do to join GD?
A. First you must meet the requirements to join In-General, then I would suggest you read the Code of Conduct page, AboutUs page and the JoinUs page. You will get a better understanding about Green Dragoon in many ways that can help you determine if you would like or appreciate a clan like this.
If you have done that, and still are interested in joining GD, please fill out a application on the JoinUs page and/or send a msg to GD Elite Legend. If your application is accepted, you will be considered a Recruit in clan Green Dragoon. Which is the first of several steps you must go through to become a member.
Q. How do I become a Member of Green Dragoon?
A. If your a Recruit in GD, then the next step is to perform your tryouts in the game you would like to join a GD roster in. The tryouts will prove to us many things, and most importantly that you do have skill in that game. (Tryouts will be explained later on this page)
If you pass tryouts, then you will be on a 30 day trial period, which will prove to us, that you can perform good and remain active on a consistent basis, along with other things. In this time, we recommend you get to know our members, rules, tactics/strategies, etc.
At the end of the 30 days, if you pass your 30 day trial period, GD Elite Legend will inform you that, you been accepted and ask if you would like to become a member of GD. (remember the trial period is not only for us, its for you to test us out for 30 days also!) If you accept, then you are now a member of GD, now you will need to prove your dedication to GD, by adding the GD prefix. (Which will be explained later on this page)
2. Tryouts:
Q. What are tryouts in GD?
A. I will first say that tryouts are different for every game we play and every "Game Leader" has there own tryout system if any! Usually GD Elite Legend is the "Game Leader", so every game he has a system which is different from the last. You usually must play a certain amount of rounds or games (usually 3-5), you pick the game type and map for all except 1, that 1 he picks. You make or join server, and play vs. random people.
He will be on your team and grade you on each of the rounds or games, and when tryouts ends. He is very blunt and straight forward, so he will inform you what he liked, disliked, and what you can do to improve your self as a gamer. After that he will tell you the results, which is either pass or fail.
If you fail you may perform tryouts again when you improved the things Elite has said you need to work on, he will even help you get better if you ask him! If you pass, then your still a recruit, and you will now be doing your final test to become a member, which is the 30 day trial period. Complete that and your a member of GD!
Q. Why do we play against random ppl and get to pick every thing, isn't that too easy?
A. LOL, There is nothing that Elite does that is reckless or not well thought about, he has been leading for more than 9 years! A better point is, if you can't do really good in tryouts then that's pretty bad.....right! Did you forget that Elite gets to pick one of those game types/maps, also there is a grading system which has high standards, you would be surprised how many recruits fail tryouts, so there's nothing easy about it.
Also imagine if Elite told you to play 3 maps or Game types that you never played before, you would have a High chance of failure! With Elite's tough grading system, you need all the advantage you can get! So like mentioned above, many fail the tryouts, so it isn't easy and just anyone doesn't become a member in GD! They are the Best!
3. GD Prefix:
Q. What is a Prefix?
A. A clan Prefix, is the clans initials, which are placed somewhere in a clan members name. It is used for many ways. I will list a few of the many reasons clans have a Prefix - to represent the clan they joined, to prove loyalty or dedication, to show ranking, for clan unity, and sometimes it's because of sponsor reasons. Mainly it would be used for Unity, dedication and representing the clan.
Q. Why must we have the GD prefix?
A. We are one of the many clans with a clan prefix. We also have many reasons for the prefix, Unity, to prove dedication (loyalty must be proven through time), Representing the clan (ppl see you doing good in games they may want to join), to show people we are proud of who we are and the clan we are in, it is somewhat used as a ranking system for our GD Titles, and be a more professional clan for sponsors. We will be going to Pro tourneys some time in the future, so that's another reason.
I hear a lot of childish crying about how ppl don't want to change there name, get over it, the world we live in is all about Sacrifice to get good opportunities and to get the results we have now a days! Not one member in GD, wanted to add the prefix, it's not a debate whether or not we want to or not, yes it sucks, but we will prove our dedication to this great clan time and time again, and the ones who don't will never be apart of this very successful clan.
Additionally why would we allow you to reap the rewards of our victories, when you won't represent us and prove your dedication? If you work or watch sports, you will see those teams or jobs all have uniforms and etc, that's because they must represent what they're affiliated to, and also to help distinguish between teammate and opponent. Finally it's one of Green Dragoon's Rules!
Q. When must we add the GD prefix?
A. You may add the GD prefix anytime you like after your application is accepted, but I would not recommend doing so until, you pass tryouts and your 30 day trial period. It is only mandatory once you become a member of GD, then you have 1-2 months to add the prefix if you still want to be apart of Green Dragoon.
Q. What is the proper way to have the prefix in our GamerTag?
A. The proper way to add the GD prefix is to have the "GD" in front of your GamerTag with a space separating your GamerTag from the GD. Input the Text in capitals letters GD, then 1 space, then the GamerTag you desire, the prefix takes a total of 3 spaces of the 15. A few examples is = GD Elite Legend, GD HAWKI. If you need a further understanding please ask GD Elite Legend.
4. Clan Matches:
Q. When and How often does Green Dragoon play Clan Matches?
A. We usually play clan matches around Evening-Night time (6pm-12am ET), we do sometimes play earlier or later depending who is on and how late everyone wants to play CMs. It also depends on when everyone wants to play CMs or if we have enough members online. I assure you we do play CMs, how else would we be Top10 in almost all games we care to play clan matches in!?
Q. Does GD play big or small Clan Matches?
A. We play any size CMs, it depends on how many players we have at that moment and who wants to play. So it usually is random, on average it would be about medium.
Q. Is there any requirements to play Clan Matches in GD?
A. Just to be a member of GD or a recruit, no free lancers or mercs! I would add that, when your the Title recruit, you won't be able to participate in every CM we play, you will be able to play every lesser skilled clan we play, but not the higher skilled clans. The reason is because recruits don't know our tactics, members, our communication requirements and method, team work, etc.... so until they know all the elements they need, and become a member, you must learn all those.
Q. Can you explain the steps taking before we play a Clan Matches?
A. We do use a system or steps before every CM, we first see how many clan members are Online, if there is enough members, then we will send a Text msg to all them who are in the roster of the game we are trying to start a CM in, depending on how many want to play a CM at that time, If we get enough members for the CM, then we will start up a practice round so everyone knows what to do once the CM starts. Then we find a opponent and play!
5. Members in GD:
Q. How many members are in Green Dragoon?
A. Its hard to say because like any clan, our numbers change daily or weekly, esp. since we are getting more member and losing a few. I can say we on average have more or less than 30 members at any given time.
Q. Is there a maximum limit of members that can join GD?
A. No, Elite always allows everyone the opportunity to join atleast once. We don't have a limit of members, but we do for our rosters. The more active members the more CMs we can play everyday!
6. Rank and Titles:
Q. What is the rank structure?
A. At the moment we have two, Rank and Titles. They can be explained on the Rank Structure page.
Q. Does GD play big or small Clan Matches?
A. We play any size CMs, it depends on how many players we have at that moment and who wants to play. So it usually is random, on average it would be about medium.
7. Games and Rosters:
Q. What kind of games does GD play?
A. We play all sorts of types of games- 1st & 3rd person shooter, military shooters, fast pace shooters, racing, RTS, MMORPG, RPG, and other multiplayer or clan supported games.
Q. What if GD doesn't have a roster in a game i would like to play?
A. If we don't have a roster, you could always ask Elite if he could start one, or once you been in GD long enough and if Elite isn't going to start a roster for that game, you could ask Elite if you could become a Game Leader, or request permission to join another clan temporary.
8. Consistency of Green Dragoon:
Q. What is the Consistency of GD?
A. We play everyday 7 days a week, usually there is someone online anytime of the day. We are a Multi-game clan, so we usually play one game after another.
Q. How often are members of GD online?
A. We play any size CMs, it depends on how many players we have at that moment and who wants to play. So it usually is random, on average it would be about medium.
9. Goals:
Q. What are your Goals of GD?
A. Our goal is to have a clan of skilled serious and competitive gamers, who would like to use tactics/strategies, communication, teamwork, and skill to win clan matches, and go to Pro Tourneys. We are evolving in everyway so fast that it is hard to imagine what we will achieve together in the future.
Q. Are you thinking about going to Pro Tournaments?
A. Yes, we are planning on going to many Pro Tourneys for Halo 3. Other than that nothing is planned.
10. Bringing your Friends into GD:
Q. Can I bring my friends in GD?
A. Yes, but only as long as there meet the requirements to join GD, and pass tryouts. Everyone must tryout, so also think about what happens if they fail tryouts.
